A friend of mine posted a picture of her sink full of dishes and she said that she hopes her children will look back and know that mom and dad took time for the important things...their kids, and that dishes can wait. I appreciate her honesty so I posted this comment to her. I'm alsp posting my comment here, as a reminder to myself:
It's so true that dishes and a myriad of other household chores can wait...children cannot. Children grow too fast and soon their dirty dishes and laundry won't be there for you to clean. Their fingerprints will have long been washed off walls, and their peanut butter kisses will no longer grace our faces...yes, dishes can wait.
